Halloween is right around the corner. Kids are super excited to dress up as their favorite superheroes and other silly characters. With all the buzz in the air, don’t forget a few important safety tips!

Halloween Safety Tips

  • While on the streets, use crosswalks and obey all traffic signals
  • ALWAYS look left and right (twice) before crossing the street
  • Put up your electronics and pay attention
  • Look out for cars that are turning or backing up
  • Take a flashlight and always make yourself visible
  • Examine all treats before eating them
  • Notify an adult of any strange or suspicious activity
  • HAVE A GOOD TIME!

When you start to grow up, people all around you tell you what you “need” to do. You need to do this. You need to do that. Blah blah blah. Who made all these “rules” for life?

I understand that there’s a time and place for everything, but I just don’t see the need to lose that sense of childhood wonder. One of my most favorite things from my childhood was video games. I’m talking about the original video games from the Nintendo. Wow, I spent a lot of hours playing all Super Mario World. As a matter of fact, I attempted to break the world’s speed record for beating the original Mario World on Nintendo. At the time, the record was 5 minutes and 9 seconds. I would invite friends over and they would gather around with a stopwatch and witness me going at it. Unfortunately, the closest I got was 5 minutes and 24 seconds!

I kinda got sidetracked, but let me get back to what I was saying. So while I may be an adult now… I still am a kid 🙂

I have a lot of hobbies. I like to write, run, and play video games. I was thinking… Since I like to write so much, I should create my own kind of notebooks. So I did and I combined it with another one of the things I love most… video games!

The Glad Game

Have you ever played the GLAD GAME?

It’s very simple and really fun! Basically you make a big list full of things you are glad and grateful for. It can be anything in the whole wide world!

After you have created your list, spend some time cutting out images, pictures, drawings, and collecting items that represent the things you are grateful for.
